Slot Car Ride Height Gauge
Slot Car Ride Height Gauge
Stop measuring ride height by eye
The AlfaSlot digital ride height gauge —or MADA for short— tells you how high your car is from the track with 0.01 mm precision.
It was born in the workshop. One of our engineers was tired of us coming to him every time we needed to know if a car's ride height was correct, so he got to work and brought us this. Since then, nobody asks him.
Why ride height matters
The distance between the car and the track determines how much the magnet effect works and whether there is any rubbing against the track. A few hundredths make a difference in how the car handles, and you can't see that by eye.
How to use it
Place the car over the sensor gap and that's it: the measurement is instant and accurate. No prior setup or adjustments needed.
What it's for
- Prepare the car with data: you adjust the ride height knowing exactly where you are, not by intuition.
- Verify rigorously: you check a car's measurements before hitting the track, with a reading that doesn't depend on who is looking.
- Confirm the motor is level: by measuring at different points, you can see if there is a height difference from one side to the other.
